Systems of Sight Eyewear Evaluation

Our goal is to put the interest of our clients and potential clients first, and we are very pro-active in that regard. Our extensive evaluation process helps clients decide if our eyewear is right for them. We evaluate each individual with the utmost care and compassion. Photo of client being evaluated

Before the Evaluation

Potential clients are pre-screened to determine their current condition before scheduling appointments. If a client has Macular Degeneration, for example, we need to know if it is the wet or dry type and if the condition is stable. Doctor Reference forms are provided and should be completed by a client's regular doctor prior to the evaluation.

The Evaluation Appointment

An extensive evaluation, taking up to1 ½ hours that includes some adaptation time, allows a client to see how well the low-vision eyewear will benefit them by providing the exact correction they will get with their own Systems of Sight eyewear.

The Systems of Sight Evaluation Process

The patented Systems of Sight low-vision system incorporates a number of different aspects of evaluation than found with standard visual tests. We want the client to see how their corrected vision can make a difference in their everyday life.

Step 1: A client's vision is evaluated using conventional eyeglasses.

Step 2: The client's vision is tested using a device that simulates the Systems of Sight eyewear to compare to vision with conventional eyeglasses.

Step 3: The client is tested for distance vision and reading ability.

Step 4: The client's vision is tested in an outdoor setting to see how the device performs outdoors compared to their regular eyewear.

Feedback from the Client

After the evaluation process is completed, we encourage our clients to take time to consider how the Systems of Sight eyewear may work for them. We go to great lengths in all of our discussions with clients and their families to let them know that, even though our system has helped many people, it does not help everyone. While there may be substantial improvement in the clients' ability to read eye charts, they should consider the results from the entire evaluation and decide very carefully if their quality of life will be improved enough to warrant making the investment.
