Systems of Sight Eyewear: How It Works

Light dispersion in a prism

Prism Technology

The Systems of Sight patented low-vision device utilizes prism technology to re-direct images to a healthy quadrant of the macula (or island of cones). The prism lens is one of two lenses and is specially cut to enhance light transmission.

Field of Vision

Even though there are two lenses per eye, the device is not telescopic due to the minimal separation between lenses. The wearer maintains their full field of vision and depth perception is not affected assuming the wearer is using both eyes.

This allows the wearer to see straight ahead without as much interference associated with Macular Degeneration.

Client wearing Systems of Sight eyewear

Different from Other Devices

The Systems of Sight device is not telescopic or magnification. Unlike other vision devices, the Systems of Sight device is worn like regular eyeglasses. This portability sets Systems of Sight apart from other devices on the market.

In addition, the Systems of Sight device allows wearers to see at a distance as well as close up, helping them regain their independence

Custom-made Product

Each device is made with unique dimensions utilizing strict tolerances resulting in a custom made product for each client. An extensive evaluation taking up to 1-1/2 hours will allow one to see exactly how well the low-vision eyewear will benefit them utilizing trial lenses.
